Fire Flow Capacity Charge:

* The fire flow capacity charge covers costs to oversize Cedarburg's water system. This oversizing would not be needed for day-to-day water use, but is needed to ensure adequate water flow in the event that the water system is used for fire fighting.

Sewer Rates - Effective 1/1/2010 (City of Cedarburg)

Eventhough sewer charges show on your Cedarburg Light & Water bill, sewer rates are determined by the City of Cedarburg. We just handle the billing for the Sewer Department.

Monthly Sewer Connection Fee$12.00 per connection
Sewer Use Charge$4.76 per 1,000 gallons

For all customers, the sewer bill is based on 100% of the water gallons billed, plus the monthly connection fee. However, for residential customers, the maximum amount during the summer months (May through November) is the average of the three highest winter months' water usage or 6,000 gallons, whichever is greater. For a more detailed explanation of the summer sewer maximum, click here.

If you have any questions regarding the sewer rates, please feel free to contact Thomas Wiza, Director of Engineering & Public Works at 262-375-7610 or the Wastewater Superintendent at 262-375-7900.
