Cedarburg Light & Water Recognized for Providing Reliable and Safe Electric Service

Cedarburg Light & Water Utility was honored by the American Public Power Association for providing its customers with the highest degree of reliable and safe electric service. There are more than 2,000 public power utilities in the nation, and Cedarburg Light & Water Utility is one of 94 public power utilities to earn the Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) recognition.

RP3 recognizes public power utilities that demonstrate proficiency in four key disciplines: reliability, safety, training and system improvement. Criteria within each category are based on sound business practices and represent a utility-wide commitment to the safe and reliable delivery of service.

Cedarburg Light & Water received the platinum designation, meeting 90 percent of the defined criteria in the four key discipline areas.

“Cedarburg Light & Water continues to lead by example and is dedicated to providing a high degree of reliable and safe electric service to its customers,” Dale Lythjohan, General Manager said. “This honor is a reminder of the high standards we employ and follow on behalf of our customers and community.”
